Adrian is a joint founding principal of Allegro with Chester Moynihan and has 15 years experience in private equity, mergers and acquisitions and restructuring. Adrian has also acted as interim CEO and general manager to large public and private companies. Adrian has experience in a number of industries including mining, healthcare, education, manufacturing and construction. Prior to founding Allegro, Adrian and Chester founded Quay Capital, a boutique investment advisory firm. At Quay Capital, Adrian advised on numerous private equity, M&A transactions and capital raisings and led the successful turnaround and restructure of a number of distressed businesses. Prior to working at Quay Capital, Adrian worked in Arthur Andersen’s Global Corporate Finance division for 7 years and was predominantly involved in operational and financial restructuring assignments. Adrian also worked for 4 years at the boutique advisory firm, Allen Capital where he was a Director.
Adrian is an admitted solicitor in New South Wales and a qualified Chartered Accountant. He holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Economics degree from the Australian National University and has also completed the Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance and Investment at FINSIA and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice at the College of Law. Adrian is Chairman of the NSW Turnaround Management Association and a member of the INSOL lenders group.

John Nestel

John has a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Laws (First Class Honours). In addition, he has had a number of articles published in both the Australian Law Journal and the Journal of Banking & Finance Law. John is a partner in the Banking & Finance group, with a primary focus on financing of major projects, corporate restructuring and mezzanine and structured finance. Since joining Freehills, John has played a major role in some significant financing transactions, including a large number of high-profile privatisations and infrastructure projects. Many of those projects relied upon complex cross border financings, which has become one of John’s specialties. Similarly, John has been very active in supporting the turnaround and restructuring market in Australia, having worked on major corporate restructures in the United States and Europe during the past decade. John has also been involved in many of the recent significant administrations and informal workouts in Australia, as well as in developing innovative usages of mezzanine debt.

Cameron Belyea specialises in contested debt and capital restructuring, workouts, special situations assignments, banking and finance recoveries and litigation, commercial litigation, complex insolvencies and alternative dispute resolution. In recent times, Cameron has been involved in some of the most high-profile national restructuring and insolvency matters involving complex debt and derivative and other structured finance products.
Glenn practises in the areas of commercial litigation and insolvency. He has expertise and experience in: international litigation and arbitration; acting for liquidators and trustees in bankruptcy; business structuring; franchising litigation; secured and unsecured recovery; professional liability; directors and officers liability; partnership and corporate dispute resolution; commercial litigation on behalf of insurers, financial institutions, insolvency practitioners and private clients; trade practices litigation; and intellectual property litigation.

Michael is the founder and Managing Director of Vantage Performance, a specialist turnaround management and performance improvement firm. With over fifteen years experience in the corporate restructuring, corporate finance and turnaround management industries. He has assisted numerous clients and worked extensively across a number of industries including transport and logistics, retail, manufacturing, telecommunications, IT, pharmaceutical, earth moving, construction, printing and professional services. Prior to establishing Vantage Performance in June 2005, Michael was a Director with KordaMentha in Melbourne and a Senior Executive within Ernst & Young’s Corporate Turnaround practice in London.

Following practising as a lawyer in New Zealand and the UK for 7 years, Stuart has gained 23 years experience in banking across various roles with the wider NAB group. Before joining Project Finance at NAB in 2002, he worked for 15 years for Bank of New Zealand, most recently as Director, Project and Property Finance. During this time his transactional experience covered work-out/credit recovery, corporate, credit, project and property financing.
Stuart moved onto the equity side of the Bank when he joined Structured Property Finance at its inception as a Director in 2006. As the team grew he became Head of the Australian operation with 14 direct reports. At the end of 2008 the markets were in turmoil and Stuart elected to move back into the workout space becoming a Director in SBS Sydney. Later in the year the Bank decided to set up an SBS Equity team focusing on managing and working out the Banks distressed equity positions or those equity positions arising out of distressed debt positions. Stuart is currently Head of this team.

Emanuel practices in the area of corporate restructuring and insolvency. His practice extends to banking and insolvency related litigation as well as security enforcement in financing transactions. Emanuel has experience acting in voluntary administrations, deeds of company arrangements, receiverships and liquidations. He also advises on the restructure of financially distressed entities. Acting for and advising banks, financiers, corporate clients and specialist insolvency administrators, Emmanuel has worked on a number of large insolvencies, including the liquidation of HIH Insurance Limited.

Michael's experience includes acting for liquidators, administrators and affected creditors in major insolvency administrations including Waterford Wedgwood, Bridgecorp, Bidgee, Pan Pharmaceuticals, New Tel, Enron, HIH, Huon and Pasminco. He has also led teams on both national and international listed company restructurings in the property, telecommunications, managed investment scheme and energy and resources sectors. Michael has assisted his clients to resolve matters quickly and cost-effectively by developing innovative solutions to enable companies to continue to trade (eg pre-packs, loan to own and introduction of distressed investors).
An international consultant to the Asian Development Bank, Michael also manages a major law reform project in the region aimed at promoting insolvency law reform in Asia. Michael has drafted a Model Agreement to Promote Company Restructuring for the 140 member Asian Bankers' Association.

Damian is a KPMG Partner in Restructuring Services and has over 16 years experience in corporate restructuring, insolvency, impaired loan and project management. His unique mix of skills enables him to assess complex situations and provide practical, commercial solutions, especially in circumstances where a business has any form of stress or distress. His sector experience includes manufacturing, construction, retail, food services, health, infrastructure. Damian was previously a partner at Ernst & Young and Ferrier Hodgson and joined KPMG in July 2007.
Damian's qualifications include - Registered Liquidator, Official Liquidator; Bachelor of Business (Accounting); Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia, Insolvency Practitioners Association of Australia, FINSIA (Snr Ass), Australian Institute of Company Directors, Turnaround Management Association.

Tim Williams

Tim is a Director in National Australia Bank's Group Strategic Business Services based in Melbourne. Tim is responsible for a wide range of corporate & institutional problem and distressed loans across various asset classes, corporate groups and industry classifications.
Tim has over 20 years experience in corporate finance being actively employed in Insolvency, Corporate Restructuring, Capital Markets, Securitisation, Structured Finance, Project Finance, Property Finance and Corporate Lending. He has worked with National in Australia, new York & London.
Tim has a Bachelor of Laws and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Technology, Sydney as well as a Masters of Laws from the University of Sydney. Tim is a Barrister of the Supreme Court of New South Wales, a member of the Law Institute Victoria, a Senior Associate of FINSIA, a Member of the Tax Institute of Australia, a member of the Insolvency Practitioners Association, a member of the Turnaround Management Association of Australia. In 1992 Tim was the Australian Institute of Bankers "Young Banker of the Year".

Greg Woszczalski

Post graduating, Mr. Woszczalski held strategic and development roles with the private and public sectors, predominantly in cash flow structures for start up, established and growth businesses. Mr. Woszczalski then moved to a position with Merrill Lynch where he specialised in institutional debt and derivatives trading, working closely with the debt capital markets team and reported to Merrill Lynch globally on debt market transactions and flows. In the last six years he has worked across many business sectors structuring and implementing cash flow solutions and consulting to directors on company restructure. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Econ), a Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning, a Series 7 qualification from the United States Securities Exchange Commission and was a Registered Representative of the Sydney Futures Exchange.
