Michael's experience includes acting for liquidators, administrators and affected creditors in major insolvency administrations including Waterford Wedgwood, Bridgecorp, Bidgee, Pan Pharmaceuticals, New Tel, Enron, HIH, Huon and Pasminco. He has also led teams on both national and international listed company restructurings in the property, telecommunications, managed investment scheme and energy and resources sectors. Michael has assisted his clients to resolve matters quickly and cost-effectively by developing innovative solutions to enable companies to continue to trade (eg pre-packs, loan to own and introduction of distressed investors).
An international consultant to the Asian Development Bank, Michael also manages a major law reform project in the region aimed at promoting insolvency law reform in Asia. Michael has drafted a Model Agreement to Promote Company Restructuring for the 140 member Asian Bankers' Association.

Mick specialises in delivering positive change in companies which are undertaking capital transactions and/or performance improvement and organisational change. Prior to 333, he spent 6 years advising on, and delivering this improvement across multiple industries, including fashion/lifestyle, technology, retail, manufacturing and services. Prior to that, he spent 3 years establishing a technology publishing and advisory business in the US, and 4 years in corporate finance with PwC Asia Pacific.
He has built, managed or advised businesses in Europe, US, and Asia-Pacific, including start-ups, growth and multi-national companies. Mick utilizes a unique blend of pragmatic, disciplined and creative approaches to ensure business performance improves, and is integrated into the fabric of the organisation.
Most recently, Mick has managed buy out & post merger improvement & integration of national fashion accessories retail chain, managed the review & performance improvement fashion company, developed organisational change and innovation programs within financial services, led growth, restructure & sale of international jewellery wholesaler, provided strategy, capital, and organisational structure advice in mid-cap childcare business, advised US-based technology companies on sales & marketing, pricing, and growth strategies and advised family owned businesses on growth, capital structure & exit strategies.

Tom is an Associate Director within the BDO Advisory Group practising in all facets of insolvency, particularly business restructuring and evaluations. Tom has previously held roles in Banking and Finance with responsibility for all recovery and asset management functions of five specialist finance companies with asset portfolios exceeding $150 million.
Prior to joining BDO and its predecessor insolvency firm, Tom held various consulting roles including a Commercial Management role in an ASX listed entity.

Rick qualified as a Chartered Accountant with a member firm of KPMG in the United Kingdom in 1987. Following qualification, he specialised in business turnaround and corporate recovery work in practices of KPMG in London, Hong Kong and Melbourne. He joined the National Australia Bank in 1999 within its Strategic Business Services unit providing advice internally within the bank on impaired asset management and leading a workout and recovery team. Rick is currently a Director within the National's Group Strategic Business Services area with a key responsibility in managing some of the bank's high risk corporate banking exposures. He has had involvement in a number of high profile cases both in Australia and overseas including Pasminco, Ion, Henry Walker Eltin and the Bank of Credit and Commerce International.

Nick Poole

Nick Poole specialises in the areas of workouts, restructuring and insolvencies, with a specific focus on distressed loan asset restructuring. Nick has extensive experience advising creditors, debtors and insolvency practitioners in respect of large and complex cross-border insolvencies, workouts, restructures and non-performing loan sales across various sectors including: rail, toll roads, steel, petroleum, manufacturing, retail, distribution, agriculture, communications, utilities, airlines, property holding companies and gaming.
Nick was previously a partner in the Hong Kong office of Mayer Brown JSM and has worked on projects across the Asia-Pacific region.

Damian Templeton

Damian is a KPMG Partner in Restructuring Services and has over 16 years experience in corporate restructuring, insolvency, impaired loan and project management. His unique mix of skills enables him to assess complex situations and provide practical, commercial solutions, especially in circumstances where a business has any form of stress or distress. His sector experience includes manufacturing, construction, retail, food services, health, infrastructure. Damian was previously a partner at Ernst & Young and Ferrier Hodgson and joined KPMG in July 2007.
Damian's qualifications include - Registered Liquidator, Official Liquidator; Bachelor of Business (Accounting); Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia, Insolvency Practitioners Association of Australia, FINSIA (Snr Ass), Australian Institute of Company Directors, Turnaround Management Association.
Gary was the founder and CEO of Newtronics Pty Ltd. Gary created this electronics company from a shell to annual sales of A$30M per annum, employing 150 people and holding 80% of the market share. Gary has also lead projects in mergers, acquisitions and operations improvement. He has a solid understanding of telecommunications and manufacturing industry, restructuring many Telco’s, multinational manufacturing and service companies owned by large overseas organisations. Gary holds an MBA and an Engineering Degree.

Timothy Williams

Tim is a Director in National Australia Bank's Group Strategic Business Services based in Melbourne. Tim is responsible for a wide range of corporate & institutional problem and distressed loans across various asset classes, corporate groups and industry classifications.
Tim has over 20 years experience in corporate finance being actively employed in Insolvency, Corporate Restructuring, Capital Markets, Securitisation, Structured Finance, Project Finance, Property Finance and Corporate Lending. He has worked with National in Australia, new York & London.
Tim has a Bachelor of Laws and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Technology, Sydney as well as a Masters of Laws from the University of Sydney. Tim is a Barrister of the Supreme Court of New South Wales, a member of the Law Institute Victoria, a Senior Associate of FINSIA, a Member of the Tax Institute of Australia, a member of the Insolvency Practitioners Association, a member of the Turnaround Management Association of Australia. In 1992 Tim was the Australian Institute of Bankers "Young Banker of the Year".
