I commenced work with Arthur Young in 1985 as a graduate in the Audit Division and transferred to the newly formed Insolvency Division in 1987. In 1988 I moved to Insolvency specialist firm of Brown Burns. In 1989 I moved, after completing Professional Year and becoming a Chartered Accountant, to Hall Chadwick as a supervisor in their Business Recovery and Insolvency Division. I was made a Partner of Hall Chadwick on 1 July 1996. The bankruptcy and insolvency division of Hall Chadwick demerged and SV Partners was formed on 13 June 2003. I was one of the founding directors of SV Partners.
I have had in excess of 19 years experience in the area of Corporate and Personal Insolvencies. SV Partners has four directors, and a total size of 38 staff including the four directors. At any one time, I would be appointed solely or jointly on some 500 corporate and personal insolvencies. During my 19 years experience I have covered all areas of corporate and personal insolvencies and have been appointed as Receiver and Statutory Trustee by the Court, on many occasions. Given the nature of insolvency work I have to deal with many complex legal matters in a vast array of industries and disciplines. I strive to make commercial decisions based on the basis of competent advice to attain the best outcome for all stakeholders. This would include whether to continue with the actions, settle the matters or discontinue the action.
