Ann is a Special Counsel at Hall & Wilcox, Brisbane and has particular focus on restructuring, corporate workouts, insolvency, and banking and debt recovery. Ann is commercially minded and is focused on reaching practical resolutions in a timely fashion.
Ann provides advice to companies and their directors on restructuring and insolvency matters and also advises administrators, liquidators, receivers and trustees in bankruptcy. During her career she has also acted for financiers, including each of Australia’s top four banks, on matters involving enforcement of securities, lender-led restructuring, asset and debt recovery and loss minimisation.
Ann has experience working for small to medium sized businesses as well as publicly listed entities within a number of industries including the retail sector, property/construction and mining and resources.
Ann holds a bachelor of laws and a bachelor of business from QUT, a graduate diploma in legal practice from the College of Law, a certification in Advanced Insolvency from UTS/ARITA, is a member of the Queensland Law Society, the Turnaround Management Association and the Australian Restructuring and Insolvency Association and is also a certified practising project practitioner with the Australian Institute of Project Management. In 2018 Ann was listed as a finalist in LawyersWeekly 30 Under 30 for Dispute Resolution.
